JUNIOR ESTIMATOR

 

We are well established manufacturer of high quality windows and doors. We require the services of an Junior Estimator to join our team.

The ideal JUNIOR Candidate will have:

-Excellent organisational and prioritization skills;
-Proactive and deadline driven;
-Capable and willing to hold yourself accountable, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
-Good communication and presentation
-Strong attention to details and accuracy
-Have a thirst to learn
-Be flexible and progressive in your thinking
-Provide excellent customer service and commitment.
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access etc.)
– Experience with programs such as Window Maker, V6 or other programs alike would be of advantage

Duties Include, but not limited to:

-Interpret client requirements from drawings, specifications or general information
-Check for compliance to the relevant codes and regulatory requirements
-Complete projects on time and within budget
-Liaise with builders, architects, suppliers offering excellent communication skills with a professional approach
-Review clients designs for opportunities and omissions
-Quotation revisions as required
-Ensuring all clients are followed up once quotations have been submitted
-Work within a team environment developing client relationships –

A trade background in carpentry and joinery or window and door manufacturing would be an advantage.

ESTIMATOR/INTERNAL SALES – WINDOWS

 

You will be an estimator with a proven track record and strong technical background in timber/aluminium windows, or joinery manufacture.

To be successful in this role you will need to have worked in a high volume quoting environment and be well versed in providing competitive quotes for a range of existing and new clients.

You must be able to demonstrate developed skills in reviewing plans, schedules and project specifications. Evaluating and submitting quotes/tenders within client times lines. Timely and accurate costing of quotes. Ensure completed quotes comply with specifications and design brief.

-Work closely with team members to ensure quotes and deadlines are achieved.
-Clients relationships.
-Coordinating with operations for projects.
-Strong technical background in this industry with experience.
-Proven track record of say 5 years.
-Experience in timber/aluminium widows, joinery.
-Thorough understanding of manufacture.
-Existing industry network/contacts
-Highly developed communication skills.
-Problem solving skills, team player who appreciates contributing to the collective effort.
-Computer literate with Microsoft office and Window Maker or similar
-Highly motivated, disciplined, organised, systematic and top line organisation ability.
-Sales driven
-Knowledge of codes and standards As1288-As2047
-Attention to detail.
-The successful candidate will be working with a strong business that services many sectors of the building industry.
